Saturn’s Sun

Saturn’s Sun is atmospheric synthpop with a bittersweet feel. It is a song about human exploitation, and ultimately, the egocentricity of mankind – that our sun is also Saturn’s sun.

Saturn’s Sun was written, produced and mixed by Space March, and mastered by Robin Schmidt who previously worked on the Mountain King album. It was released as a stand-alone digital single on 18 March 2016.

An emotive sci-fi themed video was also produced for the single which can be viewed below.

Lyrics

Let your mind run free
You’re not the only one
Is your world getting small today?
You know it’s Saturn’s sun
Are you feeling ignored?
Don’t know what to believe?
Do you get brushed off?
Are you that naive, again?

Let your mind run free
You’re not the only one
Is your time running slow today?
You know it’s Saturn’s sun
Will they let you speak?
Are you locked in a box
With your job on the line
And your head on the block, again?

Oh, it’s a long time running
With the light in your eyes
You’ll never see it coming
But the look on your face
And the sweat on your skin
The fear in your voice
The battle within

Let your mind run free
You’re not the only one
In the eye of the storm today
You know it’s Saturn’s sun
Will you self destruct?
Can you disappear?
Are you a blip on the screen?
Are you feeling the fear, again?

Are you old enough?
They’ll send you to war
But they will not let you vote
And they’ll fill up your mind
And they’ll steal all your time
And they’ll take what they need
Then cast you aside

Oh, it’s a long time running
By the look on your face
You never saw it coming
