Suffocating Sally by Chiba is a very rare techno/house album from 1996 and the first solo album released by Craig Simmons. It was also the first album to be released on Craig’s record label, Hark Records and a de facto release of Sony Music Australia, who manufactured, mastered and consulted on the A&R for the project.
Although very much an album of its era, it was also ahead of its time. Suffocating Sally possessed quite a unique sound, mixing progressive synth-driven techno with touches of commercial house music and electro.
